Hollywood Adventures

🎬 Greg and Tom Go to Hollywood

Buckle up for a whirlwind Hollywood adventure!

Greg takes Tom behind the studio gates for an insider’s tour of Warner Bros., including lunch in the Executive Dining Room and a peek at Greg’s old office. From there, it’s off to the Griffith Observatory for jaw-dropping views of Los Angeles all the way to the Pacific. Then it’s a cruise down Hollywood Boulevard to Sunset, over to Santa Monica Boulevard, and a late-night stop for music and drinks at Casa Del Mar, right on the beach in Santa Monica.

Friday brings lunch at the ASC Clubhouse with the honored Emerging Cinematographers of Local 600, followed by a stroll through Hollywood history at the Chinese Theatre—yes, handprints, footprints, and a brand-new Paul Thomas Anderson film on the big screen. Dinner? The legendary Musso & Frank Grill, of course.

Saturday features sharks and stars at the Academy Museum’s “Jaws” exhibit, lunch at Grand Central Market, and a futuristic Waymo self-driving ride to the InterContinental’s 70th floor for skyline cocktails. The night wraps with dinner at the iconic Smokehouse across from Warner Bros., joined by animation expert Ron Barbagallo.

Sunday starts beachside with breakfast at Paradise Cove in Malibu—Tom’s first real surfers!—and ends with a cinematic finale at the Television Academy, where we screen all the Emerging Cinematographers’ films… followed by a classic late-night stop at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank.

🎥 It’s Hollywood, friendship, and film fandom all rolled into one unforgettable weekend.
